A Skinny Old White Man Sings The Blues - 1999
My first CD was heavily influenced by the Delta Blues which I had just discovered. It is mostly covers of traditional tunes, including two by Robert Johnson. It was very favorably reviewed by numerous blues magazines, including the Chattanooga Times Free Press, who called it "a downright gritty and great CD".

On this CD, I wrote most of the tunes myself - though I just HAD to include a song by my hero, Robert Johnson. Canadian Blues called this CD "a masterpiece of creative blues writing."

These songs were recorded live during a tour I did in 2003. A couple of them are duets with Ron Irving, who joined me on the second part of the tour. The CD includes one "bonus" track, a studio recording of This Is Not Spam. "Spam" is my most well-known song (which I have mixed feelings about!), the one that audiences always request.
